Residents Against Elm farm Off Licence

April 1, 2007

We have been contacted by a number of local residents about the proposed (re) opening of an off licence at Elm Farm. People are overwhelmingly against this proposal because of the corresponding anti-social behaviour which went with the last off licence. We are making strong representations to the licencing authorities on behalf of residents.

On Saturday 10th February our team was out in the Chiltern Road, Madeley area as well as in Whitehead Way. Several local residents raised several issues which will will now be taking Up on your behalf. The main issues raised were the height of the wall at the bottom of Chiltern Street, general litter in the area and some of the kerbstones need maintenance work in Chiltern Street.

If you want to comment on any of these issues or any other issues please add a comment to our blog or email us at info@aylesbury.tory.org.uk

Graffiti in Elm Farm and Mandeville underpass

February 9, 2007

After receiving letters and e-mails from residents in Elm Farm and Mandeville about graffiti on the underpass, we have spoken to local MP David Lidington about the problem.

David supported our campaign and told us about a successful project in the centre of Aylesbury where Crimestoppers successfully joined the battle against graffiti.  He’ll be meeting the head of Thames Valley Crimestoppers in the near future to raise the issue with him.

We’ll keep you posted!
